After eight years, India is participating at the the Venice Biennale, 2019. The Indian Pavilion is showing works by seven artists - Nandalal Bose, Atul Dodiya, Jitish Kallat, Shakuntala Kulkarni, GR Iranna, Ashim Purkayastha and Rummana Hussain. Commissioned by the National Gallery of Modern Art and curated by the KNMA, the response to the overarching theme is the title - "Our Time for a Future Caring." The exhibition is celebrating the indelible memory of Mahatma Gandhi.
